My husband and I had been weight training for some time but reached a point of boredom and a lack of self-motivation- with just under a year until we got married we needed help to get ‘Wedding fit’.
We had heard about RT Fitness through a family member who had previously been a client – So with a personal recommendation we took the leap and contacted Ross and Sarah at RT Fitness to help us on our journey.
“First impressions on walking into RT Fitness: no mirrors, no conventional gym equipment such as treadmills, but had a couch and a coffee machine!! If this is going to get us ‘Wedding fit’ it will be a miracle! However as soon as we got chatting to Ross and Sarah (and of course tried the coffee out!) we signed straight up to the Warrior Women and Strip and Rip groups, both weight training but one group for women and the other for men – Great! Firstly we don’t train together (we did want to get married!) and secondly being able to train with like minded people of the same sex was very appealing.
So what made RT Fitness stand out to us? Sessions were always good fun, we always got pushed to lift our heaviest and fully encouraged and supported to keep going, we even gained personal bests on some of our lifts which was an added bonus.
Not only do RT Fitness train you they offer guidance with nutrition, from setting calorie goals to the finer details of macro nutrients with tweaks along the way to reach the ultimate goal. Was it a diet? No! We were never told to not eat chocolate or cakes or to give up alcohol it was all to be in proportion- sounds great hey!
So the killer question- did we get Wedding fit?? HELL YEAH!! We felt a million dollars on our wedding day both looking good on the outside and feeling good on the inside.
Would we recommend RT Fitness? WITHOUT A DOUBT! Whatever your goal- to just be a bit more active, a holiday or like us a wedding get in contact with the team and let them take you on a journey to achieve a better version of yourself.”
