When I say name the things that are most important to getting the results you want.
What would you say?
The majority of people would say training and nutrition.
Whilst both of these are important they aren’t necessarily the most important things especially if you are just starting out.
This is probably quite surprising to you but hear me out.
My top 3 things are much simpler and here they are.
Number 1.
Get sufficient sleep.
If you aren’t getting enough sleep whatever you do throughout the day will likely be a wasted effort. I’d go as far to say that if you had to choose between getting sufficient sleep or getting a workout in you’d probably be better off getting the sleep. How many people do you see going balls to the wall not getting results. The reason is they are training 6-7 days a week with shit sleep and minimal recovery. There’s a reason most of the people who really excel in there training do 3-4 very precise and well thought out sessions per a week with maximal effort and then they recover.
Number 2.
Drink enough water.
Aim for at least 2l of water every day. I could go on all day about the benefits of this and I’ve done countless blogs on the subject. Simply put though if you want to improve your health and body composition drink more water.
Number 3.
Get enough activity in.
Again aim for 10,000 steps every day minimum. Yes it might be hard but just get it done by any means possible.
If you do these three things I’ve mentioned above every single day you might not even have to worry as much about diet or training and if you do you’ll get far more benefit from both.
Change your thinking, change your approach.
Do the simple things correctly and then incorporate everything else once you’ve nailed the basics.
