Taking My Own Advice…

This is me…

So we are getting all of our clients to take and send us progress pics at the 1st of every month… And here’s mine… No tensing, no posing (like my usual Instagram pics), no lifting weights to get my pump on prior, lighting or anything else… Just me…

So what are my goals…

I need to put some beef on… I’m at my lightest weight since my teens, I’m starting to get called skinny and I’ll admit my relationship with food has become a bit unhealthy.

I pride myself on my openness and honesty much to the annoyance of some… But each and every day I ask people to trust in me, to listen to my advice and to commit to their own goals… It’d be a bit shitty if I didn’t take my own advice…

So… I’ve had a break from food and all tracking for well over a month, I’ve ate when I’ve been hungry and I’ve ate whatever the hell I wanted and it’s been pretty much none stop junk food… So why haven’t I ballooned? Well I’ve still been training 2-4 times a week and despite me eating rubbish I haven’t been eating much, in fact I’ve probably been well into a calorie deficit if I’d taken a weekly average.

So my advice to someone in my position… Start tracking again and be consistent with it to start with… I’ll probably set myself a 2000kcal a day goal with the relevant macro split… Mine is always a little different because I don’t and never have had a love for high protein… If I set this as a goal I’d get stressed and pissed off with myself and then the whole thing would go out of the window again…

I will also strive to train 3-4 times a week without fail. I want to be doing 5×5 bench and squats at least once a week. I’ve been off squatting for around a year now and volume work does my knee in, but I’ve just completely avoided it until the last few weeks, whether that’s through fear of injury or the fact I just dislike squatting I know I can do 5×5 and I know that it’s something I should be doing.

I am also going to be on a mission to drink more water!! I am the worst for it and I know how bad it is for me to be not having lots of the stuff!

So that’s the starting point at least… I will add bits in as I go…

Once I’ve got a holiday booked the goals will be adjusted to suit… We’re currently awaiting our calendar to map out 2016, putting our holidays and goals both personal and professional on there…

2016 is the year…
