Get To Bed!!!

5 reasons why going to bed early will help you achieve your fitness goals.

1. You’ll have more energy on a morning.

Waking up after a full night sleep will leave you refreshed and ready to go rather than crawling out of bed. If you don’t feel as tired your more likely to use your mornings productively and exercise.

2. You’ll have more time.

Going to bed earlier means you’ll be up earlier. Even if you decide not to exercise first thing (this is preference thing after all) you are much more likely to plan your day out better. Eat a better breakfast and prepare your meals for the day ahead. This certainly beats rushing about and grabbing a McDonald’s breakfast on the way to work.

3. It’s been shown that people are less likely to resist temptation if they are tired.

If you aren’t tired you’ll be much more likely to stay on track.

4. The next one is a timing thing.

Most people eat their evening meal around 17.00-18.00 then don’t go to bed until 23.00-00.00ish that’s a 6 hour period in which most people get hungry again and end up eating shit in front of the TV. Leaving only say 3 hours between your last meal and bed will greatly reduce the chance of night binges

5. Finally It opens up your options by giving you more productive time in the day.

Time spent late at night watching TV and scrolling through Facebook is wasted. However there’s not much else you could be doing at that time. Swap an late night for an early morning and you’ll have far more opportunities to be active.
