
Meet Sandy, you may remember her from our video testimonials a while back but she’s kept on going and these pictures really do speak for themselves…
So… a bit of background… Sandy is a mum of 3 and has been with us for 2 1/2 years now, she started with us on our Team Carnage Program and then moved across to our female signature weightlifting program Warrior Women.
Sandy puts in the graft but what I love probably the most about her is her absolute no bullshit approach… she turns up to almost every session but won’t think twice about skipping a week here and there in school holidays to take the kids away or out on a day trip, or generally just to enjoy some downtime and a well deserved lie in (as she attends our 6am sessions)… she doesn’t stress about the time off as she knows it’s just as important to her own personal growth to have that time out, recover, re-set and go again…
She has also pretty much refused to track her nutrition, this isn’t her way of being defiant, but she doesn’t obsess over everything, she’s done it before and has a good idea of what she needs to tweak or change from time to time. We did a little tester with her just 2 weeks ago and it was a further case and point towards not starving yourself to achieve your goals… Sandy has been eating upward of 2500 kcals a day, some days I reckon she was hitting 3500 with her work sweets and biscuits… but her main meals always have protein and plenty of salad or sweet potato… Since August Sandy has been leaning out, it has been visible to both myself and the other coaches and when I asked what she was doing different, she’d simply cut out the biscuits, she was still having the odd sweet but still, just taking those biscuits out has reduced her calorie intake down to around 2500 (when we plotted out the previous day on our tracking app) … As you can see… she looks INCREDIBLE!!!
She’s also not been measured for quite some months… she doesn’t need the gratification of a change of the numbers on the scale or her body fat… she can feel it… she can see it… She is a force to be reckoned with and I honestly couldn’t be more proud. She has ultimately trusted in the process, trusted in us and what we coach, but most of all, she’s enjoyed it…

Having tried many classes, gyms and circuits I could never find one which offered continuous progress and kept me interested. I was incredibly apprehensive about joining RT fitness, but Ross, Sarah and the other coaches have completely earned my trust over the past 2 1/2 years. From the moment I joined it was easy as there’s a very welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. It requires no will power at all to attend my early morning sessions… well… maybe a little!
2 1/2 years later and I think the results speak for themselves I have gained muscle; lost fat and I am consistently improving in strength and aesthetically. The coaches have shown an excellent knowledge base and know how to get the most out of me and my sessions. I am glad to know that there are detailed records of my progress too if I ever want it. I’ve recommended RT Fitness to my friends and will continue to do so in the future.
I have made some amazing new friends. This is not a gym, it’s so much more… it’s a family X
